See which apps your customers use - and give each app its own data
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Know where your bandwidth really goes: TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, games, updates and every other site, per customer and for your whole network. Then sell packages with app data built in - "30 GB + YouTube 15 GB + TikTok 10 GB" - and RadiusNest keeps each one.
How it works
- Your router reports, RadiusNest counts. MikroTik's built-in Traffic Flow sends a short report for every connection to RadiusNest over the secure connection it already has. Your customers' traffic goes straight to the internet as before - nothing is routed through us.
- Every app and site named by itself. RadiusNest names each connection by the name the customer's phone looked up, by networks only one app uses, by port (VPNs, calls, games) or by who owns the address. There is no fixed list: a new app or a local shop's site shows under its own name.
- Nothing hidden. Whatever cannot be named is shown as "Not identified", and each customer's page says how much of their data was named.
What you see
- App usage page - your whole network today, the last 7 days or 30 days: each app and site with its data, share and how many customers used it.
- Apps used on every customer's page - the same, for that customer.
- Resellers see their own customers only.
App data in your packages
- Edit a package and add app limits - for example YouTube 15 GB and TikTok 10 GB (up to 10 apps).
- Choose for each: Extra (it does not come out of the package's main data - like a social bundle) or Part of the main data.
- When an app's data is used up, only that app stops for that customer until they renew. The rest of their internet keeps working.
- Customers see a meter for each app on their account page: "YouTube 12.3 of 15 GB used".
An app is never counted as more than the customer actually used in the period, so a customer is never cut off by a counting mistake.
What it does on your router
- Turned on per router, with one button. RadiusNest checks the router's CPU first and will not turn it on when the router is already busy.
- On the router: Traffic Flow is switched on with one report target. Only when a customer goes over an app limit are 2 block rules for that app added. No marking rules and no queues.
- If the router's CPU stays high for 5 minutes, App usage pauses itself on that router and says why.
- Turning it off takes away everything it added and puts Traffic Flow back the way you had it.
How exact is it
Most traffic is named by the name the customer's phone asked for, which is very exact. Less can be named when a customer uses their own DNS (for example Android Private DNS) - then the network owner and port are used. Traffic inside a VPN shows as "VPN". If FastTrack is on in your router, the connections it speeds up skip the count; the page tells you.
What it costs
Included in every RadiusNest plan. It works with the MikroTik routers you already have - nothing to buy, no extra box in your network.
Questions
Does my customers' traffic go through RadiusNest?
No. The router only sends short reports about connections. The traffic itself goes straight to the internet, exactly as before.
Which apps can a package limit?
YouTube, TikTok, Facebook / Instagram / WhatsApp (together, as they share servers), Netflix, Snapchat, Telegram, games such as PUBG Mobile and Free Fire, updates and more.
What happens when a customer uses up an app's data?
Only that app stops for that customer until they renew. Everything else keeps working, and their account page shows the app as used up.
Will it slow down my router?
RadiusNest checks the CPU before turning it on, shows it before and after, and pauses itself if the router gets too busy.
Do I need to change my router setup?
No. Turn it on per router from the dashboard. It needs the router's "Allow changes" login, which RadiusNest uses to switch Traffic Flow on.
